Exploring the Mukaab: A Fascinating Journey into the Heart of Saudi Arabia
The Mukaab is a cube-shaped supertall skyscraper that will become the center of the New Murabba district in downtown Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It aims to become the largest built structure in the world, measuring 400 meters in height, width, and length. The building will be situated in a 19 square kilometers area that will become one of the largest downtown developments in the world. The Mukaab skyscraper and the Murabba district were announced by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
The Mukaab will be built using modern Najdi architectural style - a twist on traditional Najdi architectural style from the Najd region in the center of the Arabian peninsula. This architectural style was perfected over generations to be best suited for the region's desert climate - its design offers ever-changing environments by way of using virtual and digital technology to create holographics. At its center will be "a tower atop a spiral base which will be a premium hospitality destination" with retail, cultural, tourist, commercial and luxury residential attractions. It's expected to generate around 48 Billion Dollars to Saudis Economy and around 300000 direct or indirect jobs.
